A Glimpse of What We Offer
In our program, you will most often see children building, creating, manipulating, and experimenting with loose parts in addition to practicing grace and courtesy. Some children choose to participate in teacher led activities such as crafts and group games while others engage in spontaneous play with peers.
We provide a multi-aged program which encourages children to build relationships based on common interests regardless of grade level. However, most early childhood and lower elementary children tend to engage in sensorial experiences and transition from associative to cooperative play. Upper elementary children often take on leadership roles by organizing activities, inventing materials, and making accommodations in order to include younger peers. They also give practical life lessons, contribute ideas for programming purposes, and problem solve when presented with a challenge.

Before School (7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.)
Children are given the choice of working independently or in small groups with any of the materials on our shelves. The most popular activities chosen during this time are working on large puzzles, playing chess, coloring, and work with independent brain games.
Children are also invited to participate in the Club M 30 minutes walking club on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning at 7:30 a.m. and board game on Fridays.
After School (3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Our afternoon program offers an option for children to attend enrichments workshops, free outside play, or homework club.
Enrichments are available for 1st grader and up, at least once a week, starting the week after normalization. Kindergarteners have their own enrichment times.
This year we will be offering 5 sessions that include activities such as wood crafting, running club, card making, sensorial exploration, soccer, chess club, academic enrichment, basketball, and more. Sign-ups are limited.
Homework club is available every day for those who need it. It is important to complete a Homework Club and Outdoor Play Notification. Computers are available for technology needs.
Early Release Days (12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
The focus for these days is to give children an opportunity to practice social interaction and make responsible choices in a multi-age environment.
Our early release day schedule is designed to give children several options in a short amount of time. Children are expected to eat lunch and take complete care of their environment before moving on to gardening, group games, newspaper club, art, loose parts engineering, board games, outside stations, and/or crafts.
Kindergarten Supplement (2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
In the hour following the regular kindergarten school day, children are encouraged to build on their social emotional development by participating in mindfulness exercises, character lessons, group meetings, rotating snack, and free choice play. Children learn to self regulate as they begin to manage their free time.
Kindergarten ONLY Enrichments are available Monday – Friday, starting the week after normalization. This year we will be offering 5 sessions that include activities such soccer, drawing, t-ball, speed stackers, sight word games, Spanish, water coloring, and sensorial exploration. Sign-ups are limited.
Academic support is available M - Th, starting the week after normalization, for those families who would like the extra support. It is important to complete a Phonemic Awareness and Golden Beads Notification to make sure the right support is given.
